Wanda G. (Mason) Shelley (83) of Decatur

Wanda G. (Mason) Shelley, 83, of Decatur, died at 1:26 a.m. Thursday, September 26, 2024 at HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2024 at Liberty Cemetery, rural Brownstown with Clayton Richison officiating. Gieseking Funeral Home, Brownstown is assisting the family with arrangements.

Wanda Gayle Shelley was born on Thursday, January 16, 1941 in St. Elmo to William and Eva (McKee) Mason. She married Harold Sheets and he preceded her in death in 1989 and then she later married Donald Shelley. She was retired from the restaurant business.

She is survived by: Donald Shelley and his daughter Jeanette; her son, William David Sheets and his wife, Robbin of Decatur; daughter, Deborah Sheets of Decatur; brother, Gerald Mason of Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren, Jamie, Vonn, Billy, David and Stephanie; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter and fur-baby, Susie and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Wanda was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Harold Sheets; 2 brothers, Kenneth Mason and Steven Mason; and fur-baby, Taco and Donald’s son Jeff.
