Linus L. Willenborg (80) of Teutopolis

Linus L. Willenborg, 80 of Teutopolis, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. A Knights of Columbus rosary will be held at 3:45 pm Tuesday at the church, with visitation following until 7:00 pm. Memorial donations may be given to Effingham Terrace or the charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of Bauer Funeral Home in Teutopolis. 

Linus was born November 10, 1943 in Effingham County, the son of Lawrence and Josephine (Sandschafer) Willenborg. He married Alberta M. Einhorn on June 18, 1966. Linus was a Union Electrician for IBEW Local #146, a farmer, and an avid hunter.

Linus is survived by his wife, Alberta of Teutopolis; sons, Terry (Michelle), Shawn (Amy), Todd, and Tim (Emily), all of Teutopolis; grandchildren, Chris, Brock, Danielle Willenborg, Casey (Gary) Damron, Josie, Ella, and Anna Willenborg; brothers, Paul (Denise) and Harold (Kathy); sister, Rita (Bill) Faltemier.

Linus was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws Albert and May Einhorn.
