Marie K. Deitz, age 100, of Newton, Illinois, and formerly of Robinson, Illinois, passed away at 9:20 AM – Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at her home.

Private family services will be held, with burial in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton, Illinois. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. The obituary can be viewed, and condolences left by clicking here.

Marie was born on September 1, 1924, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, the daughter of James Norman and Alice Ann (Todd) Kilpatrick. She married Charles Lewis Deitz on January 28, 1950, in Salem, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on April 11, 1994.

Marie retired from E.R. Moore Cap and Gown Factory in Newton, Illinois. She attended the Bogota Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and bowling.

Marie is survived by:

Sons – Jack (Janet) Deitz of Newton, Illinois; and Bruce (Jill) Deitz of Alabama

Grandchildren – Amy (Dan) Day, Matt Deitz, Todd (Bridget) Deitz, and Adam (Jennifer) Deitz

Great-great Grandchildren – Elizabeth, Allison, and Paige Day, Dawson, Lexie, Jackson, and Lakelynn Deitz

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings Warren, Ore, Arthur, Howard, Orbra, Clarence, Raymond, Emma, Iva, Irene, and Virginia.
