Kendrick Gage Shelton was born on Friday, April 27, 2001 in Effingham, Il to Jeff and Katie (Webb) Shelton. He was a member of Christ's Church, Effingham. He was a cement truck operator with MBI and CCI.
Kendrick knew no stranger and had the biggest heart and the most ornery soul. He loved big and claimed most people as his chosen family. His love of fishing didn’t hold a candle to his love of “his people” He was baptized by some of the most precious people in his life, the Michael boys. He loved the movie 8 seconds and the phrase “ok boys, ok boys” was a staple in our home growing up. He may not have exactly lit up a room when he entered but you for sure knew he was there, he was always such a bull in a china shop. He is home in the arms of Jesus, no more sickness, no more pain, fully healed.
He is survived by: his parents, Jeff & Katie Shelton of St. Elmo; girlfriend Emily Lawson of Brownstown; brothers, Braiden (MaKenna) Roedl of Salem; sister, Gabbie (special friend, Wyatt Hassell) Shelton of St. Elmo; maternal grandparents, Nancy & Bill Holland of Effingham and Joe & Judy Webb of Watson; paternal grandparents, Gene & Sharon Shelton of St. Elmo; Maternal Aunts & Uncles, Nathan Webb of Effingham Jared Webb of Henderson, NV, Lela (Rob) Brown of Watson, Randy Webb of Effingham, Casey (Eric) Standford of Washougal, WA: Paternal Aunt & Uncle, Kevin Shelton of Brownstown and Sarah Shelton of St. Elmo; nephew, River Roedl; and many cousins.
