Donna J. Gillmore (78) of Edgewood

Donna J. Gillmore, age 78, of Edgewood, Illinois passed away peacefully on Friday, September 6, 2024, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Memorial service will be 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood. Memorials may go to Crossroads Cancer Center in Effingham or the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed by clicking here.

Donna was born on August 1, 1946 in Effingham County, Illinois, the daughter of Alvin and Louise (Pickens) Wohltman. She married Donald “Tom” Gillmore in July of 1966 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Effingham. She retired from Fifth Third Bank. Donna was a devoted wife, mother, and an especially cherished grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, visiting her dear friends, shopping the kitchen shows on QVC, and caring for her dachshunds.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Gillmore of Edgewood; son, Michael Gillmore of Naples, Florida; two grandchildren, Chase Gillmore of Fort Myers, Florida and Paige Gillmore of Effingham; brother, Kenneth Wohltman (wife Val) of Effingham; sister-in-law, Wanda Loy of Fort Myers Beach, Florida; and former daughter-in-law, Maleah Kaiser.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Louise Wohltman and sisters, Lorelei Dickman and Nancy Webb.
