Ronald was born on October 22, 1952 at Shepherd Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas, the son of Dana and Evelyn Starwalt. Ronald and Deborah Buehnerkemper were married on May 4, 1973 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis, IL.

Ron was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. He was jack of all trades. He could fix or build anything. Whether a vehicle needed repair, or someone was remodeling their home, he was always there to help his family and friends. He worked very hard at many different jobs and retired from Kingery Printing in January of 2019.

Ron and Deb enjoyed over 30 years of riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and his Harley trike. In fact, any trip he took was always on his bike, never in a car. Once retired, Ron enjoyed taking care of his dog, Oliver. They were very close and walked many miles around Teutopolis.

His wife, Deb, children, Michelle (Lee) Doedtman of Teutopolis and Todd Starwalt of Effingham, IL, survive him. He also is survived by his 3 granddaughters, Lyndi Myers (Sean) and Lexi Starwalt, both of Teutopolis and Andrea (David) Newberry of Effingham, and great-grandchildren, Irah Dammerman of Teutopolis and Bella, Lincoln and Rowan Newberry of Effingham.

Ron is survived by sisters, Sharon (Terry) Trostle of Toledo, IL, Terri (Bill) McGinnis of Jewett, IL and sister-in-law, Shirley Starwalt of Gila, IL, nephews, Travis Starwalt and Jason McGinnis and nieces JolynnBrown, Mandy Lewis, Christina Sowers, Amy Reynolds and many great-nephews and great-nieces.

Also surviving are his Buehnerkemper in-laws who thought very highly of Ron. Brothers-in-law are Rick Buehnerkemper (Ramona) of Rock Island IL, Gary Buehnerkemper (Karen) of Effingham, and Jim Buehnerkemper (Crystal) of Greenup. Sisters-in-law are Sandie Buehnerkemper of Teutopolis, Jane (Dan) Boone of Edwardsville, IL, Cindy (Mike) Gaddis of Teutopolis, and Christy (JR) Elder of Effingham. Also, nephews, Jeremy Deters, Nick Buehnerkemper, Jack Elder, Griffin Elder and nieces Natascha Buehnerkemper-Jacobs, Kelsey Fuller, Whitney Ragland, Hannah Traub, Emma Boone, Avery Elder and several great nephews and nieces survive him.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Dana and Evelyn Starwalt, Fathers-in-law David (Pete) Buehnerkemper and Richard Hoene, Mother-in-law Frances Buehnerkemper-Hoene, grandparents, Albert and Lesta Starwalt, Robert and Fern Yaw, and his identical twin brother, Donald Starwalt.
