Charles F. Klein, 75, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Charles was born on November 14, 1948, in Effingham, IL, the son of William Marvin and Laura B. (Walls) Klein. He married Sheila Kay Manuel on June 25, 1979, and she preceded him in death on May 17, 2014.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Amy (Isaia) Valenzuela of Effingham; son, Douglas (Sheri) Klein of Altamont; grandchildren, Apollo Valenzuela, Kristine Klein, Hayden Klein, Haley Klein, and Skylie Klein; great-grandchild, Natalia Kraus; siblings, Leonard (Fran) Klein of Homosassa, FL, Clifford (Mary) Klein, James (Carol) Klein, Thomas (Brenda) Klein, and Doris Jones all of Effingham, Patricia (Leon) Wohltman of Houston, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sheila; grandson, Cody Klein; sisters, Polly Winterrowd, Rita Short, and Margie Fulk; and brothers-in-law, Herb Jones, Ron Short, Leon Fulk, and Richard Winterrowd.
