Troy Arthur Gibson (56) of Findlay

Troy Arthur Gibson, 56, of Findlay, IL, formerly of Fancher, IL, passed away at 5:14 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, in HSHS St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 22, 2024, in Gallagher Chapel Cemetery, Fancher, IL. Memorials may be given to the funeral home for funeral expenses or to Debi Young for the benefit of Raelyn Gibson. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.

Troy was born on August 19, 1967, in Shelbyville, IL, the son of Elza Keller and Ella Gibson. Troy worked as a staff radio announcer at several area radio stations, including WSHY AM and FM in Shelbyville, WMCI FM in Mattoon, and WEIC AM and FM in Charleston, IL. He previously worked for Fedders in Effingham and in the oil fields near Fancher. Troy loved being around his hometown, Fancher. He also enjoyed listening to the radio, music, and spending time with his daughter, Raelyn. Troy and Raelyn loved going to the park, eating at their favorite restaurants, and traveling.

He is survived by his daughter, Raelyn Gibson of Findlay, IL; mother, Ella Gibson of Shelbyville, IL; uncle, Jim Gibson (Kay) of Shelbyville, IL; aunt, Beulah Edwards (Jim) of Fancher, IL: and special friends, Todd Fultz, Ron Endsley, Crystal Kloever, and Debi Young.

He was preceded in death by his father; cousin, Rick Gibson; and uncle, Jerry Gibson.
