Timothy was born December 5, 1955, in Washington D.C., the son of William Henry and Marion Elizabeth (Russell) Brown. He was raised in Camp Springs and Upper Marlboro, Maryland, where he enjoyed playing music. He moved to Houston, TX in the late 1980’s to be close to his parents. While there he worked in maintenance and HVAC. Tim was handy and had an old-school approach at what he did. He later moved to Illinois to be closer to his daughter Elizabeth and her family. He enjoyed helping with his grandchildren, Alaina and Carter. He helped renovate and maintain her home in the process while also working part time at Menards.

Tim was dedicated to his family and cared deeply for them. He was level-headed and smart. Tim was talented in many facets of life including cooking, drawing, and writing. Tim always had a philosophical way of thinking. He had a profound love for literature and was always ready to learn. Simply put, Tim was a renaissance man.

Tim is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Hartke of Beecher City; grandchildren, Alaina Hartke and Carter Hartke; siblings, Allan (Susan, deceased) Brown of Maryland, Steven (Christine) Brown of Virginia, and Christopher Brown of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister-in-law, Susan Brown.
