Betty Jean (Beck) Levitt, of Vandalia, Illinois, formerly of Altamont, passed away suddenly at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at her apartment home in Vandalia.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Watson Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Linton officiating. Interment will follow at the Union Cemetery, Altamont next to her mother. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, July 17 at the church. Betty was born November 20, 1965, in the Fayette County Hospital, the daughter of Bernard and Reba June (Mast) Beck of Altamont. She married Clarence Levitt and was separated after several years. Betty was grateful to have shared her life with her children and family.

Survivors include: sons, Justin Samuel Beck of Effingham and Jacob (J.D.) Beck of Effingham and daughter Cassidy Jo (Daniel) Wert of Edgewood; grandchildren Tyson Beck, Amilia, Julian, Lydia and Leonardo Wert; brothers, Jon (Lisa) Beck of Tuscola and Bruce Beck of Effingham; niece and nephews, Analisa Beck, Justin Beck and Shyan Beck and special friend, Jerome "Jerry" Kretzmann.

She was preceded in death by her brother Gary Beck, sister Gail (Beck) Grant, parents Bernard and Reba June (Mast) Beck and grandparents, William E. and Golden M. Beck.
