Sienna was born November 16, 2009, in Aurora, to her loving parents, Charlie and Stacie Bostedo. She was their Rae of Sunshine, and along with her sister, Gia, were their two greatest blessings. Sienna was baptized into Christ on May 12, 2021, alongside her sister, Gia, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Stewardson, with her cousins, Colin and Ella being her sponsors. She was confirmed into her Christian faith May 5, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Stewardson. Sienna was a 2024 graduate of Trinity Lutheran Grade School in Stewardson and was to be a freshman at Stewardson-Strasburg High School this fall.
Sienna was active in every sport possible keeping her parents busy chasing after her. Volleyball was her biggest love! She played at Trinity Lutheran School from third through eighth-grade and was preparing for the start of her high school career at Stewardson-Strasburg High School. She also loved her Rapid Fire family where she has played volleyball since fifth-grade and made so many wonderful friends. She also was an accomplished runner participating in track at Stewardson-Strasburg Junior High School and competing at the state level all three years, and cross country at Trinity, which led her to Lutheran Cross Country Nationals several times. She played basketball at Trinity Lutheran School from third-grade to sixth-grade and played at Stewardson-Strasburg Junior High through eighth-grade. She also played softball at Stewardson-Strasburg Junior High from sixth- through eighth-grade.
Sienna’s smile could light up a room. She loved a good blush and a summer tan. Reading a book poolside was one of her greatest joys. Sienna was a picky eater but loved pickles. A Stanley full of Dr. Pepper was usually by her side. She was a confident girl who lived life to the fullest. She was a girly, girl, but also knew how to get dirty, often fishing in the pond with the boys or Papa. Her bubbly personality made you want to be her friend, and hanging out with her friends was one of her most favorite things to do. Sienna was goofy, smart, fun, caring, a hard worker, and a natural born leader. She loved her family above all else. They were her world and she was theirs.
Sienna is survived by her loving parents, Charlie and Stacie (Friese) Bostedo, and her loving little sister, Gianna, who will dearly miss her. Adoring grandparents: Dick and Maggie Bostedo of Westmont, and Ed and Jill Friese of Mode. aunts and uncles, who loved her like their own: Jeremy and Kelly (Friese) Kinkelaar of Mode, and John and Angela Bostedo of La Grange Park. Her cousins, who were also her biggest fans, Colin and Ella Kinkelaar and Dominic and Laney Bostedo.
She was preceded into death by her great-grandparents, Jack and Helen Yakey, Clinton Friese, Evelyn Blair, Charles and Evelyn Bostedo, and James and Loretta Crowe.
Sienna was the sunshine, and the world is now a little less bright.
