Elsie Edwards, 96, of Effingham, died at 2:29 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Effingham.
Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2024 at Washington Park North Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Elsie M. Edwards was born on Monday, February 20, 1928 in Vandalia to Henrey Eldridge and Gladys (Huff) Martin. She married James Edwards on September 27, 1952 and he preceded her in death in 1993. She was employed as an apartment resident manager and was a member of Assembly of God, Indianapolis, IN.
She is survived by her step-daughters, Neva Maloy, Avon, IN and Patricia Maupin, Frankfort, KY; nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by; one brother and one half-sister.
