James Isaac Powell, Sr. (84) of Orland Park

James Isaac Powell Sr., 84, of Orland Park, IL, passed away at 4:57 pm on Tuesday June 25, 2024, at his residence in Jewett, IL.
Funeral services along with Masonic Rites will be at 11:00 am on Friday June 28, 2024, at the Jewett Community Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service. The burial will be in the Jewett Cemetery. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup is assisting the family.
Jim was born on July 8, 1939, to Lloyd and Helen (Herr-Parse) Powell, in Jewett, IL. He married Cindy Kenney on October 13, 2000.
Survivors include his wife Cindy, sons JimPowell (Diana Nelson), Brian Powell, Michael (Tammy) Kenney, and Anthony (Kelley) Kenney; daughter Laurie (Joe) Ettelbrick; sister Sue Titus; grandchildren Megan (Derek) Warfel, Nathan Titus (fiancé George Moorehead IV), Olivia (Matthew) Todd, Matt (Tanja) Nelson, Racheal (Ryan) Tipsword, Theresa Nelson, Andrew Kenney, Nicholas Kenney, Frances Kenney, John Kenney, and Grace Kenney; great-grandchildren Scarlett, Eva, Natalie, Taylor, and Waylon Warfel, Trace and Tate Todd, Mason, Marshall, Isaac, Wyatt, and Alaina Tipsword.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jason Powell, and brother William Powell.
Jim worked at Home Depot in Glendale Heights as a sales associate in the plumbing department. Jim was also a carpenter by trade. He was a member and Past Master of the Toledo Masonic Lodge #834 AF&AM.
