This enthusiasm for adventure extended to his passion for motorcycles, where he experienced the joy of the journey, the wind against his face, and the bond of camaraderie with fellow riders. His sense of community and patriotism was evident through his involvement with the American Legion Riders of Flora/Salem, where he rode in solidarity with veterans and their supporters. Shawn also took pride in his heritage and commitment to service as a member of the Son's of the American Legion in the Flora Post # 14.
