Wayne A. Bushur (58) of Effingham

Wayne A. Bushur, 58, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Wayne, an only child, was born on December 4, 1965, in Effingham, to James and Bernice (Gehle) Bushur who deeply loved and cherished him. He was a graduate of Effingham High School and earned his Bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Wayne had a great talent in woodworking making many tables and headboards. Putting out his yearly garden was always enjoyable to him. He also enjoyed family reunions, hearing and sharing family stories, and family history. He had helped family members with completing their genealogy. Wayne enjoyed his summer holidays with trips to the Lake of the Ozarks with friends. Bushur Tech Solutions was his business which he owned and operated for many years and would go above and beyond with great service.

Wayne is survived by his aunt, Diana Pullen; uncles, Robert Bushur and Carl Bushur; many cousins; and special friend, Amy Schwalbert.

He was preceded in death by his parents; uncles, Paul, Art, Earl, and Jerry Bushur; aunts, Dorothy Bushue, Loretta Hoelscher, Millie Baker, and special aunt, Marilyn Lane; and aunts, Anita Jording and Dorothy Meseke.
