Roch Joseph Goeckner, 60, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2024, in Tullahoma, TN, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on October 2, 1963, in Effingham, IL., Roch lived a life full of adventure, hard work, and meaningful relationships.


Roch had a deep love for horse riding, one of his favorite pastimes was riding with friends and family in southern IL.  His professional life was marked by his skill and dedication as a welder and a heavy equipment operator, where he took great pride in his work.


His warmth and friendliness made him a beloved figure among family and friends who knew him as one of the “good ones”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Ann Goeckner, and his sister Brenda Manzano, and CJ Adams.


Roch is survived by his two sons, Phil (Mary) Goeckner of Olympia, WA and Tim (Sara) Goeckner, of Issaquah, WA, and his three granddaughters, Theia, Adelaide, and Gwen Goeckner.  He is also survived by his Tullahoma, TN family, Michelle Lonigan, Janelle Lonigan, Kristen Lonigan, Brianne Corbin, Aubrey Bondurant, and Emilyn and Evan Morgan.


He is also survived by his sisters, Jane (Keith) Kinkelaar, Pam (Tom) Hemmen, Amy (Jim) Apke, Kay (John) Descher and brother Nick (Nancy) Goeckner.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 29th from noon to 2pm at Teutopolis Banquet Hall, where family and friends will gather to honor Roch’s memory and share the stories and love that he brought into their lives.
