Judith L. Kinney (81) of Effingham

Judith L. Kinney, 81, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Willow Breeze Hospice House in Mattoon, IL.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham, IL. Burial will follow services at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2024 prior to the service at the funeral home. Judith was born June 6, 1942 in Effingham, IL, daughter of Enoch Valette Sr. and Carrie May (Goodwin) Miller. Judith was a teacher’s aide for students with learning disabilities, but most friends and family would remember her best as the friendly fuel cashier at the Effingham TA Truck Stop.

Judith is survived by her daughter, Jerri (Don) Cisco of Decatur; great-grandchildren, Marley and Abbi Hissong; Marley and Abbi’s mother, Cody’s significant other Kaitlyn Nease; brothers, Don Miller of Effingham and Jerry Miller of Beecher City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Lewis “Bub” Branson Jr.; grandson, Cody Hissong; siblings, Ruth Koester, Enoch Miller Jr., Mary Donaldson, Jeanie Meyer, Shirley Yingst, and Wanda Finfrock; and infant siblings, Delores and Dickie Dan Miller.
