Dustin was born on November 25, 1990 in Effingham, IL, to Mark and Vanessa (Holland) Borries. He attended and graduated Effingham High School and furthered his education at Lake Land College in Mattoon. Dustin was a gentle soul that never knew a stranger and was full of smiles and love. Every grandmother, aunt and cousin remember that he never left a family gathering without passing out hugs. Dustin had a variety of jobs through the years. He worked at TGI Fridays in Effingham, the AT&T store in Effingham and lastly sold Aflac Insurance. In October of 2021, he married the love of his life Erin Lynn Mitchell of Centralia. To this life he brought us two beautiful little girls who survive.

Dustin leaves behind to grieve fiercely, wife Erin; daughters, Cora Rose and Raya Joyce of Centralia; parents, Mark and Dawn Borries of Tuscola and Vanessa and Richard Jansen of Watson; in-laws David and Debbie Mitchell of Centralia; grandmothers, Janine Johnson and Mardell Jansen both of Effingham; grandfather-in-law, Chuck Mundell of Centralia; brothers, Matthew Jansen of Watson and DG McKinney of Jacksonville; sister, Danielle (Chris) Niccum of Shumway; brother-in-law, Jason (Maggie) Mitchell of Glen Carbon; niece, Lainey Jansen of Watson; nephews, Shane and Tyler Niccum of Shumway; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Leroy and Maryann Borries, Jacob Holland, Gerald Johnson and Anthony “Toby” Jansen; grandparent-in-law, Norma Mundell and Joyce and James Mitchell.

A very special thank you to Nathan and Leigh Mundell (cousin of Erin) for their kindness and hospitality during our stay in St. Louis.
