Ronald Miller (75) of Altamont

Ronald Miller, 75, of Altamont, passed away at 8:13 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2024 at Evergreen Healthcare Center, Effingham.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2024 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont with Pastor Mark White officiating. Burial will follow at Arborcrest Memorial Park, rural Effingham with military rites by American Legion Post #512, and Gieseking-Schwerdtfeger VFW Post #7676, Altamont. Visitation will be for 2 hours prior to service time. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.

Ronald K. Miller was born on Tuesday, July 15, 1948 in Vandalia to Harold C. and Cora A. (Dammerman) Miller. He attended ACHS and after graduation worked at Fedders USA, Effingham until he was drafted into the Army and served from 1968-1970 in Vietnam. After graduation he continued working at Fedders and farmed with his brother Floyd. He enjoyed collecting toy tractors and coins.

He is survived by: his son, Aaron Arrowsmith of Effingham; daughter, Alexia (David) Wright of Altamont; sister, Glenda Poehler of Louisville, Myrna (Daniel) Hites of Edgewood; sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Miller of Altamont; brother-in-law, Herb Tabbert of Effingham; Grandchildren, Kendall Miller and Kenya Mitchell; great granddaughter, Kensley Lingafelter and many nieces and nephews.

Ronnie was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Floyd Miller; sisters, Janice Poehler and Betty Tabbert; and brothers-in-law, Howard Poehler and Duane Poehler.
