Anna Mae Waldhoff, 88, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 12:25 pm at her home in Teutopolis, surrounded by her family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Monday, April 22, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday at the church, with a 2:45 pm CCW rosary and a 6:00 pm parish wake service. Memorials donations may be given to Community Support Systems. Anna Mae was born August 12, 1935, the daughter of Ralph and Eleanor (Zumbahlen) Vahling. She married James F. Waldhoff on June 28, 1958 at St. Joseph Church in Island Grove and he preceded her in death on July 31, 2022. Anna Mae was a graduate of Newton Community High School. After High School, she worked as a waitress at the Sugar Bowl on Main Street in Teutopolis.

She was strong in her faith and was devoted to the rosary. Anna Mae was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Teutopolis and the Ladies Sodality, in which she was past president. Anna Mae enjoyed baking, especially sweet rolls and pies. She was a gracious hostess.

Anna Mae is survived by her children, Janet (Randy) Probst of Bishop Creek, Linda (Mark) Brummer of Bishop Creek, Don of Teutopolis, Glen (Sharon) Waldhoff of Teutopolis, Roger (Katie) Waldhoff of Bishop Creek and Carl (Tricia) Waldhoff of Teutopolis. She was blessed with 27 grandchildren, and 40 great-grandchildren with 3 on the way. Anna Mae is also survived by her brothers, Harold (Jane) Vahling, Lenny (Madonna) Vahling, Don (Barb) Vahling; sister, Doris (BiII) Walk; In-laws, Anna Mae (Don) Bushur, Bernie (Mary) Waldhoff, Larry (Barbara) Waldhoff, Ruth (Gene) Brummer and many nieces and nephews. 

She was welcomed into heaven by her parents; husband; two granddaughters, Dana Brummer and Elizabeth Waldhoff; brother, Clarence Vahling, and sister-in-law, Marilyn Vahling.
