Kenneth E. "Moe" Myers, 69, of Altamont, passed away on March 13, 2024, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love and adventure.

He was born on May 14, 1954, in Effingham, IL, to Perry Jr. and Phyllis (Dial) Myers. On May 23, 1989, he married Peggy Brown, and together they shared over three decades of cherished memories.

Funeral services to honor Kenneth's remarkable life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont. He will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery, Altamont. Visitation hours will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, or the donor's choice.

Moe's life was one of adventure and love. He found immense joy in exploring the country with family and friends, whether on his motorcycle or discovering new destinations together. Despite his love for adventure, Moe's greatest joy came from spending time with his beloved family. Moe retired from World Color Press after dedicating many years of service. In July 2019, he received a lifesaving heart transplant at the University of Chicago Hospital, a testament to his resilience and determination to continue living life to the fullest. He was a member of the HOG (Harley Owners Group) and the Effingham Moose Lodge, demonstrating his vibrant spirit and community involvement.

Moe leaves behind a legacy of love and adventure, forever remembered by his devoted wife, Peggy; his children, Aaron (Kris) Myers, Paul (Lori) White, and Kendra (Kyle Lewis) Myers; his siblings, Jim (Judy) Myers and Lynette (Troy) Grant; brother-in-law, Steve Leitzell; grandchildren, Miranda, Dalton, Ethan, Austin, Robert, Kiah, Kesia, and Sarah; and four great-grandchildren.

Moe touched the lives of many with his warm smile, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love for his family. Though he may have embarked on his final journey, the memories of his laughter and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
