Ronald A. “Tony” Wilson age 60, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024 at HSHS St.John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.
Cremation rites will be accorded to Tony. There will be a celebration of life at Sam Parr State Park for family and friends at a later date.
Tony was born on April 27, 1963 in Olney, Illinois and is the son of Ronald E. Wilson and Lorena “Deonn”(Neff) Carie. Tony was known for his carpentry skills. In his free time, Tony had many hobbies. He enjoyed fishing, mechanic work, knife making, golfing and mushroom hunting.
He will be loved and remembered by his daughter, Tonya (Tony) Nevius of La Place, IL; son, Lance Wilson of Taylorville, IL; grandchildren, Alex Mathis and Madison Nevius both of La Place; brothers Rusty Wilson of Lawrenceville, Paul (Michelle) Wilson of Austin, TX and Jeff Wilson of Lawrenceville; three nieces, Caitlynne Michael of Olney, Crystal Shook of Newton and Stephanie Wilson of Austin, TX and two nephews Jacob Wilson of Lawrenceville and Graydon Wilson of Austin, TX
He was preceded in death by his parents.
