Angela L. Geltz (93) of Olney

Angela L. Geltz, 93, of Olney, Illinois, formerly of Ste. Marie, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Helia Healthcare of Olney.

Angela was born November 11, 1930 in Jasper County, Illinois, the daughter of Andrew G. and Cecelia M. (Bolander) Ritz.

Angela enjoyed traveling, games with her grandchildren and playing cards with her friends. She took pleasure in walking her dog, Molly, until she was no longer able to. Angela was also a member of Saint Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie.

Angela is survived by her son, David Geltz and wife Jane of Ste. Marie, IL; daughter, Patti Roberts and husband Kevin of Dalton, GA; son, Donald "Pete" Geltz and wife Sheree of Cape Coral, FL; son, Gerry Geltz and wife Jeanne of Olney; 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; sisters, Jeanette Kocher and Kathy Probst; brother, Ronald Ritz; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Victor, Arthur, and Delbert Ritz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Saint Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with a visitation beginning one hour before at the church. Interment will take place following the Funeral Mass on February 28, 2024 at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ste. Marie.
