Jeanne E. Elliott, 71, of Mattoon, IL passed away on January 21, 2024, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
A celebration of a life well lived will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday February 3, 2024, at the First Southern Baptist Church: 3521 Dewitt Ave, Mattoon, IL 61938. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup is assisting the family with arrangements.
Jeanne E. Elliott was born on November 10, 1952, in Champaign, IL., to Ralph James “Jim” and Jeanette (Bolles) LaMasters.
She is survived by her fiancé Steve Curry; granddaughters, Jillian M. Beck (fiancé, Alfonso Vela) of Mission, TX., Claire E. Beck of Mattoon, IL; siblings Jocelyn LaMasters of San Antonio, TX, Jeri Clark of Mission, TX, Jill (John) Robinson of Toledo, IL; and nieces Adriene (John) Perez of San Antonio, TX, and Janele (Evan) Smith of Casey, IL; and nephews Alex (Amanda) Clark, and Daniel Clark of McAllen, TX.
Her family takes solace in knowing she was welcomed to the Kingdom of Heaven by others who have preceded her including: her parents, and only child Keri Lynn Fleishman Beck, and brother-in-law Kirk Clark.
Jeanne met the medical challenges both she and Keri shared with a Bolles determination and perseverance. Jeanne was a graduate of Charleston High School Class of 1970 and continued her education at Lakeland School of Cosmetology. She owned and operated Guys and Dolls Salon in Mattoon, IL. Jeanne was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Mattoon, IL. She loved her heavenly father and church family, her beautiful daughter, and the gift of two granddaughters, making lifelong memories with family and friends, animals, riding shotgun, helping others, water views, Harley Davidsons, laughter, and ending a conversation with “Love you”.
