Linda Kay Starwalt, 73, of Diona, IL passed away peacefully on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 6:40 pm surrounded by family.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday January 23, 2024, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to service time on Tuesday at the funeral chapel. The burial will be in the Aten Cemetery rural Hidalgo, IL.
Linda was born in Shelbyville, IL on June 14, 1950, to Verl & Letha (Isley) Miller. She married Dennis Starwalt on October 14, 1979. Survivors include her loving husband; daughter-in-law Lindsay Starwalt; grandson Hinkley Roy Starwalt; two step grandchildren Hannah and Eli; sister Margaret Miller (Randall Hicks); brothers Rick (Gail) Miller and Steve (Teri) Miller. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and son Roy Dennis Starwalt, brother and sister-in-law Jim and Laura Miller.
Linda started working for the US postal service in 1973, she was Postmaster in Ashmore, IL from 1989 to 2005.
