DeAnn (O’Donnell) Pomelow, 69, of Kankakee, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Arborcrest Memorial Park at a later date. DeAnn was born November 6, 1954, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL, the daughter of Max and Doris (Perkins) O’Donnell. DeAnn graduated from Effingham High School in the Class of 1972. She attended Kaskaskia College in Centralia, IL, and Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL. She was employed at Fedders Corporation for several years. She also ran a used furniture store in Momence, IL. DeAnn loved doing arts and crafts and was an avid sports enthusiast. She loved all her grandchildren and was big on playing Farm Town on Facebook.

DeAnn is survived by her mother, Doris O’Donnell of Effingham, daughter, Amy Lynn Dial (Kevin) of Montrose; 4 grandchildren, Trisha, Tori, Max and Isabelle Dial and great-granddaughter, Raelynn all of Montrose; brother, Tim O’Donnell on Dexter Corner; sister, Cheryl Goeckner (Kenneth) of Altamont; 5 nieces, Mandy, Katie, Megan, Jenny, and Tiffany; and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Max O’Donnell in 1992; and sister-in-law, Rosemary O’Donnell.
