Pauline Howard, 92, a longtime resident of Windsor, Illinois and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on November 9, 2023, at home surrounded by her family.

Born on January 13, 1931, in Whitney Township, the daughter of Ora and Bessie (Barker) Willis. She married the love of her life Kenneth R. Howard on June 13, 1948. Kenny and Pauline had 54 years of wedded bliss until his passing on September 30, 2002.

Pauline is survived by her sons, Kent of Windsor, Paul of Decatur and special son, Jeff (Rhonda) of Windsor; grandson, Rob; granddaughter, Kristin; great-granddaughter, Anna; special nephews, Bill (Mercy) Hale and Jerry (Carol) Howard; nieces, Clara Wood, and Cindy Hale and many more nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved Kenny, sister Irene and brother Orval.

Pauline worked at Brown Shoe Factory in Mattoon and sold Avon in Shelbyville, Strasburg, and Windsor for several years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, in the last few years embroidering dish towels and treasured time with her family.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2023, in Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in Windsor Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the donor’s favorite charity. Casual attire is requested.
