Keith D. Mars, 69, of Cowden, IL, passed away at 4:40 p.m. on Sunday, November 12, 2023 in his residence.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Robinson Creek Cemetery, near Shelbyville, IL, with Rev. Ron Brown officiating. Memorials may be given to the Shelby County Honor Guard. Arrangements are by Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.
Keith was born on September 19, 1954 in Shelbyville, IL, the son of Noble Francis and Lina Emogene (Harvey) Mars. He graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1972. He worked as a spotter for Lazer Spot, Inc. at Graphic Packaging in Shelbyville. Keith previously worked as an over the road truck driver for Risinger Brother Transfer Company in Shelbyville. He was a member of Moose Lodge #1294 in Shelbyville and enjoyed watching sports on TV.
Keith is survived by his three children, Keith Mars, Jr., Jennifer McCullough and Morgan Reynolds; sister, Judy Brown (Mark) of Pana, IL; brother, Larry Mars (Alice) of Neoga, IL; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Kathy Mars; and brothers, David Mars and Wayne Mars.
