Jerry D. Kline (82) of Decatur

On Wednesday, November 8th, 2023, Jerry D. Kline left us to be with the Lord.

Jerry was born on January 27, 1941, in Altamont, IL. He was married to Barbara Weddle (Wence), and together they had four sons: Dan, David, Steve, and Mike. After retiring from AE Staley, Jerry indulged in what he loved the most - spending quality time with his family, enjoying good food, playing pool, doting on his dog Missy and cat JJ, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Kline of Altamont, his brother Bradley (Butch) Kline of Farina, and his brother Stanley (Lou) Kline of Beecher City. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Kline, grandson, Jarod Haun, and granddaughter, Amanda Oden.

Jerry is survived by his sons Dan & Tracy Kline, David Kline, Steven & Robin Kline, and Mike & Trena Kline. He is also survived by grandchildren Aaron, Ashtyn, Anthony, Janson, Jade, Brody, and Evellyn, several great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Jerry will be greatly missed by all of us.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, November 17, 2023 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, rural Moccasin, IL. A gathering will follow at the Church of Christ, 206 N.
