Janis Rae Niccum, 84, of Charleston, IL and formerly of Greenup, IL, passed away at 12:32 pm on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the Odd Fellow Rebekah Home, in Mattoon, IL.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday October 31, 2023, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo. There will be a 1-hour visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service. Burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery.
Janis was born on June 14, 1939, in Charleston, IL. She was a daughter of Edgar and Dorthy (Reynolds) Herman. She married Max Niccum, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons Ron Bennett and Troy Bennett; Daughter Julie Bennett-Young; brother Ronnie (Lennie) Heddins; sister Linda Haga; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Kenny, and sister Wilma. Memorials may be made out to SBLH Hospice.
