Rosie was born September 11, 1952 in Flora, the daughter of Daniel and Rachel (Lanus) Ordner. She married William E. Myers Jr. on June 12, 1971.

Rosie was known for her joyful presence, her contagious laugh and her angelic voice.  She started singing and playing the organ at mass as a child and continued singing for countless weddings and funerals over the years.  She also performed in 3 rock 'n roll bands - Sagebrush, Back of the Bus & Terry and the Tailfins. In addition to music, she was active in serving the Lord and community in various roles throughout the years, including pre-school religion classes at St. Francis of Assisi, choir member & cantor, Girl Scout Leaders, Worldwide Marriage Encounter and Cursillo.  She also became an associate of Saint Francis of Mary Immaculate of Joliet, IL at her commitment ceremony on April 18, 2010.  Her most cherished role was that of daughter, wife, mother and grandmother.  She delighted in spending time with her family and was the epitome of love.  We are all so very blessed that God gave her to us as a role model in each of those areas.

Rosie is survived by her husband, Bill Myers of Effingham; daughter, Connie (Benjamin) Houlihan of Valley Park, MO; son, William "Bill" (Stacey) Myers of Newman; and granddaughter, Evelyn. She is also survived by her brothers, Donald Ordner of Montrose and Howard (Lyn) Ordner of Sigel; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Ordner and Carolyn Ordner, both of Sigel.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William, Charles, and David Ordner; grandchildren, Hope Marie Jenkins and Nicholas Timothy Jenkins.
