Deanna Lee Cooper, age 79, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 6:08 AM Thursday, October 19, 2023, at her daughter’s home surrounded by the love of her family.

Deanna Lee was born on September 9th, 1944, in Clatsop, County, Oregon, the daughter of John and Betty Phelps. She married Gary Leanord Crispin and he preceded her in death. Deanna was an amazing mother and grandmother. She focused her entire life on being there for and loving her children and grandchildren. Deanna found joy in life studying Native American cultures, tending to her gardens, clam digging on the beaches of the PNW, and caring for her birds and pets over her lifetime-including her beloved cat, Poppy. Deanna will be missed beyond measure.
Deanna is survived by: Siblings — Peggy Children – Amber Jensen of Newton, Illinois and Angie Pink of Newton, Illinois Grandchildren – Destini Shuemaker, Annie Shuemaker, Brittany (Jake) Delaney, Jerimiah (Kendrah) Jensen, David (Sara) Jensen, Samantha (Bryson) Cameron, Shayden (Lily) Miller, Amandy Crispin, Skylar Sanderson Great Grandchildren - Deanna Marlene Jensen, Aelin Gene Jensen, Freedom Rose Shuemaker, Mercy Noelle Shuemaker, Justice Micael Shuemaker, Casper Jonathon Oja and Liberty Michael Shuemaker Deanna also had many lifelong friends that she loved dearly as family.
Deanna was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, John Henry Phelps Jr. “Hotshot”, and son Terry Crispin
