Mary Louise (Frank) Hulsey, 91, of Clay City, Illinois passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora, Illinois.

Mary was born August 26, 1932 in Clay City Township, the daughter of Samuel W. and Mary Cathryn "Katie" (Montgomery) Frank. She married Joseph T. Hulsey, and he preceded her in death on September 22, 2007. 

Mary was a pastor's secretary for over 10 years at Maplewood Baptist Church in Maplewood, Missouri. After moving to Sailor Springs, Illinois, she did secretarial work with the Historic Sailor Springs Foundation, as well as other part time secretarial work for various businesses. Mary took pleasure in hosting holiday get-togethers at her home. She would gather all her friends and family members for these events. Mary was an avid reader and enjoyed working puzzles and crossword puzzles.

Mary is survived by her Daughter, Deborah Miller, of Sailor Springs; Son-in-law, Ken Cohen and his wife, Marilee, of St. Louis; Step-daughter, Joyce Hamilton and her late husband Alan of House Springs, MO; Step-son, Joseph Hulsey Jr. and his wife, Vera, of Old Monroe, MO; Nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren; One sister, Inez "Deanne" Moseley, of Clay City; many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Sam and Katie Frank; husband, Joe Hulsey; Daughter, Cindy (Hulsey) Cohen, and infant son Joseph Frederich Hulsey. Great Grandchild, Samantha Lagle. Siblings, Alberta (Frank) Gumbel, Robert Berlin Frank, Bonnie Eileen (Frank) Gill, Zelma Blanche (Frank) Crouse, Kathryn (Frank) Milner, Samuel Frank Jr., Galen Frank, and Naomi Faye (Frank) Franklin, Shirley Ann (Frank) Schnautz, Richard W. Frank.

A funeral service for Mary will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 27, 2023 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Clay City, with a visitation beginning one hour prior at the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Smith Cemetery.
