Joplin Page Brown, 28, of St. Elmo, Illinois passed away at 9:38 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2023 at her home in St. Elmo.

Funeral service will be at noon Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Pagel Funeral Homes in St. Elmo with a two-hour visitation prior to the service. Reverend Ron M. Lorilla and PeeWee Denton will be officiating. Interment will take place at St. Bonaventure Cemetery at a later date. Joplin was born October 1, 1995 in Greenville, Illinois, the daughter of Michael R. Brown Jr. and Glenda Gale Hissong-Brown. She graduated from St. Elmo High School in 2014. Joplin was a beautiful soul that loved to laugh and make others laugh. She was known for her goofy personality and her heart of gold. She had a passion for making people look and feel beautiful which heavily influenced her career path in cosmetology. She attended Lakeland College to obtain her cosmetology license. Joplin was employed at Beauty Mark in Vandalia where she was cherished tremendously as an employee, friend, and beautician. She was the reason for many smiles and will be incredibly missed. She loved listening to music, her dogs: Luna and G.G. and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her dad, Mike Brown (wife Jessica) of Chaffee, Missouri; half siblings, Justice, Jordynn, and Jaxn all of Chaffee, Missouri and Sam Brown (wife Kelsey) of Vandalia; paternal grandparents, Bruce and Joyce Robb of Kinmundy; maternal grandparents, Gary Hissong and Sandra Evans both of St. Elmo; great-grandma, Versie Baucum of St. Elmo; uncle, Greg Hissong (wife Joy) of St. Elmo; Special friend, Dalton Godberson of St. Elmo; Godmother and aunt, Bridie Baucum of Springfield and cousins, Marley, Abbi, Eli Kade, Nicki, and Johnny.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mom, Glenda Gale Hissong-Brown; cousin, Cody Hissong; great-grandparents, Harry and Faye Hissong and Bill Baucum.
