Nelta was born March 22, 1958, in Effingham, the daughter of Bill and Arnetta Sloop. Nelta enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved playing games on her computer and watching Hallmark Christmas movies.
Nelta is survived by her sons, Christopher (wife, Jennifer) East and Kenny East, both of Effingham; brother, Bill (wife, Barb) Sloop of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Macci (husband, Caleb) Johnson, Jordan East, Emma Ross, and Isabella East, all of Effingham, Casey (special friend, Tyler Arnold) East of Sigel, Michael East of Taylorville; and great-grandchildren, Ares East of Effingham, August East and Louna Zellner, both of Sigel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Francis; sister, Macil Karnes; and son, Michael East, Jr.
