Born on October 13, 1933, in Strasburg, Richard was the beloved son of Glenn and Grace (Beals) Renshaw. On June 29, 1952, he married his sweetheart, Mary Elizabeth Garrett, in Bethany. Richard's professional career was spent at World Color Press in the shipping department, where he worked diligently for 25 years before retiring in 1985. Richard was a faithful member of the Beecher City Church of Christ. His dedication to his work and his faith were hallmarks of his character. Richard's passions extended beyond his work and faith to the great outdoors. An accomplished sportsman, he was an Illinois State Champion in Skeet Shooting and a bronze medalist at the Illinois State Prairie Games. Richard had a love for all sports, often participating in softball and baseball games. His competitive spirit was only matched by his love for nature and the camaraderie of his fellow sportsmen.
