Timothy L. Pocrnich (52) of Effingham

Timothy L. Pocrnich, 52, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Watson Baptist Church, Watson, IL, with a dinner to follow. A celebration of Timmy’s life will continue after 3:00 p.m. also on Saturday at the Effingham Moose Lodge. Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family. Timothy was born on August 1, 1971, in Effingham, IL, the son of Mark and Irene (Loy) Pocrnich. Tim loved music and playing the guitar. He was very artistic and enjoyed drawing. He liked to cook and was very good at it. Tim was hardworking and kind-hearted but also had a stubborn streak. He was very funny and had a great sense of humor. He also had a good attitude in the face of cancer. Tim was a good father and loved spending time with his son, siblings, nieces, and nephews.

Tim is survived by his significant other, Valerie Devore; son, Marcus Pocrnich; step-children, Jenna and Connor; siblings, Cyndi (Darrell) Malick, Christel Hutson, Kevin Pocrnich, Lee Ann (Craig) Smith, and his twin brother, Travis Pocrnich; sister-in-law, Gail Pocrnich; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Jade; brother, Marty Pocrnich; brother-in-law, Andy Hutson; and nephews, Howard Lee Hutson and Saxon Smith.
