Marjorie Pauline Becker LeFevere of Cedar Rapids, IA, left this world to be with her heavenly Father on June 2, 2023.

She was born to Paul and Clara (Mueller) Becker on February 6, 1938, in Altamont, IL.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altamont with Rev. Dr. James F. Wright officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altamont. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with local arrangements.

Through much of her life, Margie was an industrious homemaker and busy mom to her seven children. She sewed their clothing, prepared their meals, and served as Cub Scout den mother. She grew vegetables in her garden and taught her children to pray and to know their Lord. She was also a long-time member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and attended countless church pot lucks!

Upon her arrival, Margie was met in heaven by both of her parents, her sister Jane and her brother Benjamin. Margie is survived by her sister, Joann Russell of Brownstown, IL, as well as all seven of her children: Mary (Dan) Sheehan of Davenport, IA; Connie McClain of Galva, IL; John “Mick” (Julie) McClain of Monticello, WI; Rhonda (Ronald) Leedham of LaValle, WI; Mark “Hoss” (April) LeFevere of Glennallen, AK; Stephanie (Jesse) Fox of Jasper, IN; and Paul LeFevere of Cedar Rapids, IA. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 8 great-greatgrandchildren, and countless cousins, nieces, and nephews who love her.

Margie’s confirmation verse from April 5, 1952: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.” Romans 1:16
