Meg was born December 9, 1973 in Effingham, the daughter of William E. and Louise C. (Habing) Sheehan. She married Dan Beckman on August 16, 1997 and he resides in Teutopolis. Meg often had a quiet demeanor, but anyone who knew her well appreciates the purposeful meanings of her words and the value of the good-hearted acts she would do for you. For her beloved daughters and nephews and nieces, Meg’s generous heart earned her the endearing title of “The Yes Lady.” Meg’s sweet charm attracted the attention of animals and young children. It’s no surprise that she found a lot of joy and fulfillment working as a secretary at Teutopolis Grade School. She had a gentle spirit that made the little ones gravitate toward her; it was typical for a baby or a puppy to find a safe place on her lap.

Meg is survived by her husband, Dan of Teutopolis; daughters, Emma, Caroline, and Lily, all of Teutopolis; mother, Louise Sheehan of Teutopolis; siblings, Mike (wife, Elizabeth) Sheehan of Lake in the Hills, Ann (husband, John) Beckman of Dieterich, Elaine (husband, Steve) Blievernicht of Teutopolis, Patrick (wife, Jacquie) Sheehan of Saint Louis, MO, Ed (wife, Molly) Sheehan of Wildwood, MO, Erin (husband, Rob) Hoene, of Saint Louis, MO; Mother and father in law, Joseph and Wilma Beckman of Teutopolis; sisters-in-law, Christine Beckman of Charleston, Angie (husband, John) Davis of O’Fallon, Vicki (husband, Gary) Deters of Teutopolis, Linda (husband, Bob) Hardiek of Dieterich.

Meg was preceded in death by her father, William; maternal grandparents, Albert and Christine Habing; paternal grandparents, Clem and Mary Sheehan.
