Timothy "Tim" Bierman (59) of Island Grove

Timothy “Tim” Bierman, 59 of Island Grove, passed away Friday evening, August 25, 2023 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, August 31, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Island Grove with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the church with a parish wake service to follow. 

Tim was born on September 29, 1963 in Effingham, the son of Glen and Marlene (Hinterscher) Bierman. He married Lori L. Niemerg on July 27, 1996 and she survives. Tim was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Island Grove, He was a dairy and grain farmer, member of the Board of Trustees for North Muddy Township, and was involved with the Jasper County 4-H.

Tim is survived by his wife, Lori; daughters, Natalie Bierman of Wheeler, Michelle (Austin) Paine of San Antonio, Texas, Stephanie (Paul) Cox of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Grant Galloway of Wheeler and Rowan and Easton Cox of Jacksonville, FL; his father, Glen Bierman of Wheeler: brother, Sam (Stacie) Bierman of Wheeler, sisters, Susan (Mike) Platz of Sigel, Linda (Dale) Pruemer, and Cindy (Allen) Konkel of Teutopolis; sisters-in-law, Sandra Brackney and Vicki Niemerg of Dieterich; several nieces and nephews and many special friends.

Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Marlene; father & mother-in-law, Celestine and Verena (Cornell) Niemerg; and brother-in-law Bruce “Joe” Brackney.
