Troy Ryan Williams (60) of Columbia, SC

Troy Ryan Williams, 60, of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away Monday, August 21st at Lexington Medical Center in Columbia.

A memorial service will be planned for a future date.

Troy was born March 14, 1963, in Mesa, Arizona, the son of Reverend Jerald and Amy Williams. He was well-known around the community for his musical talent, and he was always ready and willing to play you a song on his guitar. After growing up in Altamont, Troy spent many years living in Georgia and South Carolina working in salvage cars and construction. He was multi-talented in many areas of his life. He loved the outdoors and anything that related to nature, from fishing on the bank of a river or just enjoying a campfire in the woods. To say the very least, Troy was a man who was free-spirited, and he certainly lived life on his own terms. He is gone much too soon.

Troy is survived by daughter, Chelsea Gouchenouer (grandchildren Wade and Blair) of Effingham; Sisters, Ruth of Effingham; Pam (Joe) Hartoebben of Mayetta, Kansas; brother, Jason (Barb) of Altamont; Sister-in-law Sally (Oscar) Meyer of Mapleton, Illinois. Troy is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved him very much.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy; his parents; brother, Jerry; sisters, Peggy, Linda, and Retha.

Troy will be sadly missed and mourned by those who loved him.
