Scott Louis Claybaugh (66) of Toledo, formerly of Neoga

Scott Louis Claybaugh, 66 of Toledo formerly of Neoga, Illinois, passed away at 9:20 PM Thursday August 10, 2023 in his residence surrounded by family.
He was born May 12, 1957 in Joliet, Illinois the son of Warren D. And Virginia E (Abbott) Claybaugh. Mr. Claybaugh married Diana Sanderson of Neoga, Illinois. Scott was a Union Iron Worker in Local 380 in Champaign, Illinois and a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Neoga, Illinois. Scott was an amazing husband, Papa, Dad, and friend to many. He enjoyed gardening, canning salsa and other goodies, carpentry, Harley rides with his son and grandson, and yearly fishing trips with his brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Claybaugh of Toledo, Illinois; children Shawn Claybaugh (Jennifer) of Toledo, Illinois, Vanessa Banning (Shea) of Neoga, Illinois and Carrie McKimmy (Gage) of Johnstown, Illinois; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Rawlings, Sophia Schumacher, Warren Claybaugh, Shelby Schumacher, Mackenzie Claybaugh, Leah Banning, Kennedy Claybaugh, Easton McKimmy and Dianna Banning; two great grandchildren; brothers, Brian McDermott (Peg) of Herod, Illinois, Gary Claybaugh of Chesapeake, Virginia, Steve Claybaugh of Lexington, Kentucky and Bruce Claybaugh (Chris) of Neoga, Illinois; sisters, Marla Brown (companion Jerry Thompson) of Windsor, Illinois, Shelly Patterson (Kenny) of Jacksonville, Florida, Jill Neff (Rodney) of Mattoon, Illinois and Beth Cornwell (William) of Toledo, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by parents; son, Ross Claybaugh; brothers, Mark Claybaugh and Tom Ellett; sister in laws Joyce Claybaugh and Diane Claybaugh.

As per Scott’s wishes Cremation Rites will be accorded and a Memorial Service will be held Friday August 18, 2023 at 6:PM in the Swengel - O’Dell Funeral Home in Neoga, Illinois.
