Otis Earl Greenwood Jr., age 79, of Noble, Illinois, passed away at 8:14 PM – Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Helia Healthcare, Olney, Illinois.
Funeral Services for Otis Earl Greenwood Jr. will be held at Meyer Funeral Home in Olney, Illinois at 10:00am on Thursday, August 10, 2023. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Meyer Funeral Home in Olney, Illinois. Otis was born on September 6, 1943, in Olney, Illinois, the son of Otis Earl and Ollie M. (Jennings) Greenwood. Otis married Norma Winchester September 30, 1982, in Marion County, Illinois, and she preceded him in death on August 29, 2019. Otis worked hard most of his life, he was a brick and stone mason for several years. He was a chain thrower in the oil fields, built pie safes, and worked for the shoe factory at a younger age. Along with working, Otis enjoyed raising dogs with his wife, Stag Beer, and cars. Otis loved visiting with family and friends and dining at his favorite restaurant Hovey’s Diner in Olney, Illinois. Otis was a member of the Cornerstone Church of Noble, Illinois.
Otis is survived by: Children; Jeffrey (Robin) Greenwood of Forsythe, Missouri, Wanda (Kent) Johnson of Boliver, Missouri, Lisa (Jeff Rudolphi) Witt of Noble, Illinois; Grandchildren: Stormy (Josh) Patkel of Boliver, Missouri, Jacob Johnson of Boliver, Missouri, Ashton (Bo) Dejager of Branson, Missouri, Kaitlin Greenwood (Kyler Chester) of Naples, Florida, and Coy Greenwood of Springfield, Missouri; Great Grandchildren; Trenton, Isabella, Elijah, Faith, Grayson, Cooper, Ellie, Mia, and Rayden; Brothers; Steve (Pat) Greenwood of Noble, Illinois, Darrel Greenwood of Olney, Illinois, Rocky (Wanda) Greenwood of Clay City, Illinois, Tommy (Tess) Greenwood of Noble, Illinois.
Otis was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers; Allen and Stormy, grandchildren; Elisha, Cameron and 3 infants.
