Florence "Flossie" Glenn (82) of rural St. Elmo

Florence E. ‘Flossie’ Glenn, 82, of rural St. Elmo, died at 1:49 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at her home with her family by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Brownstown with Jarad Corzine officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO on Thursday, August 10, 2023. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, August 7, 2023 and for two hours prior to service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Unity Baptist Church, Granite City, IL.

Florence was born on Wednesday, October 23, 1940 in St. Louis, MO to George and Mary Heuermann. She married Benjamin V. Glenn on November 23, 1959 and he preceded her in death on March 13, 2023. She was affiliated with the Methodist Church and was retired from nursing at several area facilities including HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital and Lutheran Care Center.

She is survived by; sons, George (Cindy) Glenn, Edwardsville, Randy (Norma) Glenn, Chugwater, WY, Benjamin (Janilyn) Jr., Chugwater, WY and Terry W. Glenn, St. Elmo; and 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
