Alicia M. Kessler (30) of Effingham

Alicia M. Kessler, 30, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023 at home.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Watson Cemetery in Watson at a later date.

Alicia was born on July 20, 1993, in Mattoon, IL, the daughter of Eric and Jamie (Norris) Kessler. Alicia graduated from Effingham High School in 2011 with her CNA certificate.

Alicia was a happy person and enjoyed helping others. She was free-spirited, independent, and fearless. She also enjoyed her music, being outside, and riding 4-wheelers. Alicia always dreamed of becoming a mother and was able to fulfill that roll with Izzak Jay, who she loved more than life. 

Alicia is survived by her mother, Jamie Kessler; fathers, Eric Kessler and Ernest Michael Florida; siblings, Scotty, Jasmine, Luna, Emma, Logan, and Elliott; grandparents, Jerry and Lynne Kessler, Billy and Melody Norris, Reyne and Gary Ashley, and Juanita Florida.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Jim and Mable Norris, Harold and Wilma Kessler, Elza and Rosemarie Grove, and Charlie and Clara Meyers.
