Kirsten was born on March 24, 1989, in Mt. Vernon, IL, the daughter of Richard and Tracy (Roberts) Painter. She graduated from Effingham High School in 2007. Kirsten was currently working at Family Care Associates as well as attending school to further her education.

Kirsten was a kind soul, with an indulgent heart and an adventurous mind – she was one of the most precious people in our life.

Kirsten was truly extraordinary. She loved to love and she was very good at it. Between her pups, family and friends she spread joy and hope into all of our lives. Kirsten was someone who saw in you what you cannot see for yourself. Someone who believes ‘you can’ – even if circumstances dictate otherwise.

Kirsten loved to take her children (Professor and Stretch) for different adventures like boat rides, hiking, and trips to see her besties. Although she wasn’t one for material things, she loved running around town and shopping with her mama. I’m sure they are having a blast in Heaven as you read this.

Her beautiful spirit will be missed by many. Even though Kirsten was taken too soon, she lived life out loud, and courageously. We will love her and miss her until we are called Home to be with her.

Kirsten is survived by her dad, Richard Painter; sisters, Jamie (Ross) Stephens and Rickie Painter; nieces, Kaytlynn Roberts and Karsyn Gouchenouer; great-nephew, Xaiden Gouchenouer; grandparents, Harold Roberts, Paul and Eileen Chitwood, and Herman and Vera Painter; Chris Chitwood; and many aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Tracy Painter; and grandparents, Norma Roberts, and Bob and June Leckrone.
