William "Bill" Krantz (75) of Farina

Funeral services to celebrate Bill's life will be held at noon Friday, June 30 at the McGriff Funeral Home in Louisville with Brent Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at the Newton Chapel Cemetery, rural Louisville. Visitation will be held Friday morning at the funeral home where friends may call from 11 am until noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bill's memory to the Edgewood American Legion, for the Children's Activities. Online condolences may be left by clicking here.
He was born January 10, 1948, in Peoria, Illinois, the son of James Ivan and Pearl (Manning) Krantz. Bill married Mary Ann Cummins December 31, 1984, in Clay County and they shared 30 years of marriage before she preceded him in death July 30, 2015.
Bill worked hard in his lifetime and spent most of his career at Sulsberger Oil Company. He also occupied himself with farming and later dedicated himself to service work by joining Larkinsburg Township and the Village of Iola.
He took great pride in caring for his horses and cattle on the farm. Bill will always be remembered as a deeply devoted family man who loved his family dearly. His presence brought immense joy to everyone who knew him. Bill was a member of the SAL Edgewood American Legion.
He is survived by his children: William "Troy" Krantz (Marlene Young) of Virginia, Kyle Allen Krantz of Effingham, Levi Cory Krantz of Farina, Tammy Krantz-Heiden of Louisville; grandchildren: Felicia Owens (Beau) Herrick, Kendra Krantz of Nashville Illinois, Broc Krantz of Louisville, Shanae Coffey (Drew) of Charleston and Cody Krantz of Farina.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Mary Ann Krantz; two granddaughters; brother Robbie Krantz; sisters Lynn Shamhart and Wanda McDowell.
