Born on April 3, 1935 in Scotland County, Missouri, Neva spent her formative years in Rutledge where she met Nolan Corwin, husband and father of her children. Throughout her adult life, Neva lived primarily in Morris, Illinois, where she raised her family. She was a pillar of strength, providing unwavering support to her four children. Neva's nurturing spirit extended to her 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and a few great-great-grandchildren too! She also opened her heart to create a family beyond blood relation and welcomed everyone she loved.
Neva embraced life's simple pleasures. She had a knack for hustling bingo, and her determination and luck once rewarded her with a $6,000 win - a moment of triumph that brought her great joy. She also delighted in finding hidden treasures at rummage sales. Neva's love for the arts led her to become a regular attendee at the Morris Theater Guild.
In her final years Neva lived in Saint Elmo, IL surrounded by family. She found community in St. Elmo Christian Church and enjoyed attending regularly with her dear friend Della Stewart. While we mourn the loss of Neva, let us also celebrate the life she lived and the immeasurable impact she made on the lives of those who knew her. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who mourn her passing.
