Ronald Lee Beavers, age 78, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 12:30 AM - Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Helia Health Care Center in Newton, Illinois.

Private family services will be held.  Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. Ronald Lee better known as “Ron” was born on June 4, 1944, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Claude and Beatrice (Snider) Beavers. He proudly served in the United States Navy from November 29, 1961, until his honorable discharge on July 9, 1963. Ron married Jeanette Berube on March 11, 1963, in Clayton, Missouri. Upon moving to Newton, he was the owner of Ron Beavers Painting, later owning Armor Shield of Illinois and Servepro in Newton, Illinois. Ron was a member of Scott Avenue Christian Church in Newton, Illinois. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Ronald is survived by: Wife - Jeanette Beavers of Newton, Illinois; Children – Donna (Tim) Nolen of Robinson, Illinois; Chuck Beavers of Altamont, Illinois, Cindy (Brad) Davidson of Newton, Illinois, and Melissa (Phil) Miller of Altamont, Illinois; Brother – John Beavers of St. Louis, Missouri; Sister – Patty Maiden of Bloomington, Indiana; 12 Grandchildren – 7 Great grandchildren – 1 Great-great greatgrandchild.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, brother Charles Beavers, sister Freda Hahn, and a great grandson Andrew Durkin.
