Carol Ann Sheppard (82) of Altamont

Carol Ann Sheppard 82 years old, of Altamont, Illinois went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ peacefully on early morning Thursday May 4, 2023, at 12:23 am at the Lutheran Care Center, Altamont, Illinois.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday May 10, 2023, at the Lutheran Care Center Chapel, Altamont, Illinois, with the Rev. Dr. James F. Wright officiating. A visitation will be held for family and friends from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am. Christian burial rites will follow at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Altamont, Illinois.

Carol was born on September 24, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois one of three sibling into the Christian family of Rudolph and Arvella Bluedorn-Stumpf. She graduated from Proviso East High School in Maywood, Illinois in 1958. She graduated from Ravenwood Hospital School of Nursing in 1961, and Carol retired from the Advocate Health Care Systems as supervisor of surgical services. Carol moved from Oaklawn, Illinois to Altamont in 2012 and resided at the Lutheran Care Center. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, and assisted with other activities within the Church family.

Carol is survived by her two brothers: Ronald R. and wife Kathy Stumpf of Watson, Illinois, and Kenneth W. and his wife Nancy Stumpf of Huntley, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and or the choice of the donor.
